Looking to upgrade your home heating? A combi boiler (combination boiler) is one of the most popular and efficient options for UK homes. At HBE Heating, we install high quality Worcester Bosch combi boilers, helping homeowners across North Essex & Suffolk enjoy reliable heating and instant hot water.
A combi boiler, short for combination boiler provides both your central heating and hot water from one compact unit. Unlike traditional systems, it doesn’t need a separate hot water tank or cylinder. Instead, it heats water directly from the mains supply, giving you hot water on demand whenever you need it
Combi boilers come in different fuel types depending on your home and location. Whether you’re connected to the gas network or live in a rural off grid property, there’s a suitable combi boiler for you.
Combi boilers are a great choice for many properties, especially when matched correctly to your heating and hot water needs.

kW (kilowatts) is a measure of how much power your boiler has.
In simple terms: The higher the kW, the more hot water and heating the boiler can produce at one time
What this means for your home:
Lower kW (e.g. 24 - 30kW)
Best for smaller homes with 1 bathroom and lower water use
Suitable boiler would be a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 25kW
Mid-range kW (e.g. 30 - 35kW)
Ideal for average family homes with moderate demand
Suitable boiler would be a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 30kW or a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000+ 32kW.
Higher kW (e.g. 36 - 45kW+)
Suited to larger homes with multiple bathrooms or higher hot water usage.
Suitable boiler would be a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000+ 40kW.
The cost of a new combi boiler can vary depending on several factors, including the boiler size, kW output required, fuel type, the size of your property, the number of radiators, and the complexity of the installation.
At HBE Heating, our combi boiler installations typically range from £2,399 to £5,639, as a general guide. For example, a straightforward replacement, where an old combi boiler is swapped for a new one in the same location, will usually fall at the lower end of the price range. However, costs may increase if you are converting from a traditional system or heat only boiler to a combi boiler, or if you choose to move your boiler within your home, as this involves additional work.
We also offer flexible boiler finance options, allowing you to spread the cost into manageable monthly payments.
