Case Study: New Combi Boiler Installation in Colchester Following Flue Safety Concerns
Location: Colchester, Essex
At HBE Heating, we recently completed a boiler conversion in Colchester for a homeowner in Colchester, Essex, transforming their ageing heating system into a modern, efficient Worcester Bosch gas combi boiler.
The customer contacted us after discovering a significant issue with their existing boiler installation. Since the boiler was originally fitted, a conservatory had been built over the boiler flue, creating a situation that required urgent attention to ensure the system remained compliant, safe and suitable for continued use.
After carrying out a full assessment, our experienced Gas Safe engineers advised that replacing the existing system with a modern combi boiler would be the most practical, cost effective and future proof solution.
Converting an Old Boiler and Hot Water Cylinder to a Modern Combi Boiler
The property previously relied on a traditional heating system consisting of a regular boiler and separate hot water cylinder.
Following our survey, we recommended a complete conversion to a:
Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 Combi Boiler
The Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 is one of the UK's most popular combi boilers and offers homeowners an excellent balance of efficiency, reliability and performance.
The benefits include:
By removing the old cylinder and upgrading to a combi boiler, the customer not only improved their heating system but also freed up valuable storage space within their home.
